Cape Cod Commercial Hook Fishermens Association
The Cape Cod Commercial Hook FishermenÂ’s Association (CCCHFA) works to maintain sustainable fisheries off Cape Cod in the hope of ensuring long-term economic benefits for the local fishing community.  This non-profit organization was established in 1991 by a small group of commercial line and hook fishermen.  The CCCHFA facilitates partnership between fishermen and scientists to study new techniques and methodologies for stock assessments, fish tagging, monitoring studies, and bycatch reductions.  The CCHFA also began a Fisheries Reform Campaign in 1999 with a goal of promoting sustainable fishing communities, by providing the fishermenÂ’s perspective on local fisheries.  

Center for Fisheries Enhancement at the Mote Marine Laboratory
The goal of the Center for Fisheries Enhancement at the Mote Marine Laboratory is to use scientific research to enhance fishery stocks.  In order to accomplish this goal, the Center for Fisheries Enhancement addresses the multiple stakeholders, perspectives, and facets of fisheries, including both the economic and political guidelines that mold fishery management.  This Center has three major research programs (Marine Stock Enhancement, Fisheries Habitat Ecology, and Fisheries Assessment and Ecosystem Management), and collaborates on research projects, studies, and papers with scientists and representatives of various research institutes.
